Dee Barnes
Dee Barnes is based in Grantham, Lincolnshire and works from her garden studio.
Her hand built ceramics are made favouring coiling and slabbing techniques. She works with earthenware clay and white slip. The slip gives her a plain background on which to paint, a canvas of sorts. Colour lies at the heart of Dee's work and the shapes she creates are inspired by historical and antique ceramics which she has collected over many years.
