Set in a picturesque 17th Century building in the Cotswold market town of Stow-in-the-Wold, Unpolished showcases the work of talented makers, artists and craftsmen selected for their individuality and originality of ideas.

As an interior designer, founder Nia Morris is drawn to the ‘imperfect’ appeal of the hand-done; that compelling convergence of hand, heart and eye and the way it brings character and longevity to our homes. The sourcing of furniture and decorative objects allows her clients’ personality to emerge. It can be the most exciting part of a project, for client and designer. Unpolished represents Nia’s edit, pieces that resonate with her and which she wants to share with a wider audience.

We designed the space to feel more like a snug than a shop, a place where people can buy anything from a sofa to a ceramic centrepiece. A collection of furniture designed by us, reflecting our relaxed, modern rural aesthetic can be made to order. Our sofa, tables, and pouffes are made by British craftsmen using traditional methods. We offer a sourcing service to complement the pieces for sale in the shop.
