CJ ABBEY
CJ Abbey has a background in fine art and textiles, which combined with her interior design experience has given her a very particular perspective.
She enjoys the mindful process of hand building appreciating the random, imperfect and often quirky silhouettes acheived.
CJ is inspired by the more neutral tones of nature with a palette of dark, inky indigo, blue creamy white and burnt sienna repeated throughout her work. She applies oxides and glazes in layers, sometimes rubbing back to the bare clay.
